Just wanted to let everyone know that we released JetSet 1.1 to Apple. Hopefully it will not take long for the approval process to complete. I am excited about this upgrade as it brings some great new things to you. One of the big new features is full expense reporting on all categories. Now everything you write about a given expense is now recorded on Google or in your email. This was by far one of the most requested features. I also tweaked the report format a bit to support partial cents for those who track mileage—it will no longer round up. There were a lot of bug fixes focusing around using less memory. While I was in there I also worked on some usability issues of the software. I added features so that making a change on an expense and using the Back button would keep those changes without you having to navigate through the entire process of editing an expense. There are other changes that I think you’ll appreciate—read further in the blog to see a list. Finally there is a lot of infrastructure work that is now in place in JetSet 1.1 that will make things easier to update. I am further now on multiple currency support and payment tracking. Here is the plan for v1.2 of JetSet: - Add totals to the expense detail section of the report that will show not only how much was spent on a given category; but also in the case of mileage identify how many miles were travelled. - Payment tracking. You will be able to identify how you paid for a given expense. We are going to let you customize several credit cards so you can easily see what payment device you used for each expense item. What does the schedule look like? That is less certain. We are hoping to have 1.2 out in the next 30-45 days. Finally I want to thank everyone for supportive emails. I really enjoy reading them and hearing about how you use JetSet. What I would love to see is a comprehensive review that discusses how you used JetSet on your trip—what was good and what was bad. The best review I’d like to feature on the web site (and on the AppStore). What I’d love to see is an indepth discussion of the product that includes its strengths and weaknesses. Compare it to a competitive product as well. Finally I’d like to give a big thank you to Mactropolis who featured JetSet as their Application of the day. I have come to really enjoy reading Mactropolis. It is one of the fastest growing Mac news and community sites on the web. Please check them out. |
